What are theyreally learning? Discuss how to help children develop healthy viewinghabits, how to identify high-quality television, and how to createimportant connections after viewing.Workshop 2: Conflict ResolutionEverybody gets mad sometimes. Explore how effective communicationand modeling can help children develop strategies to productivelyresolve conflicts. Participants also discuss the difference betweendiscipline and conflict resolution and get practice in helping childrenseek solutions together.Workshop 3: Preventing ObesityHow can we create a healthier environment for children, where inthe U.S. one in five children is considered overweight? Learn aboutwhat you can do to prevent health risks from developing, and practicedeveloping strategies to support healthy choices for children’s growingbodies.Workshop 4: Print-Rich EnvironmentHow can you make ordinary household items into playful literacyexperiences for children?
