Saint Patrick banished all the snakes from Ireland.<br />This is still true today, you will not find any snakes in Ireland.<br />He used the shamrock or clover to explain his message to the people of Ireland.<br />It is said on his way to see the king, he was to be ambushed and killed, but when he passed the men only saw a deer and fawns following. <br />This part of the legend is known as The Deer’s Cry.<br />
  4. 4. Why did he use the shamrock?<br />He used the shamrock to describe the Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He was trying to spread Christianity and get rid of Pagan beliefs.<br />
  5. 5. Four-Leaf Clovers?<br />There is one four leaf clover to every 10,000 regular 3 leaf clovers.<br />
  6. 6. What does the Four-Leaf Clover stand for?<br />The first leaf stands for hope.<br />The second leaf stands for faith.<br />The third leaf stands for love.<br />The fourth leaf stands for luck.<br />
