  • 1. Virtual Reality: The link Between Depression and the Red Carpet Sarah Al Shiha Teacher: Dennis Daniels
  • 2.
    • Nicole was an extremely rich and envied girl wherever she went. Her dad was a multi platinum award winning artist and she was invited to all the red carpet events. As far as people knew, she was a rock royalty and was a card carrying member of Hollywood's inner circle.
  • 3.
    • What people didn’t know was that Nicole was a very unhappy girl, and behind the velvet ropes lay a pile of hidden dirty secrets.
  • 4.
    • Nicole had nobody that she was able to trust. Everyone seemed to have better things to do than be with her. So day after day she sat alone in her room wishing she could have a normal life.
  • 5.
    • The tabloids started to catch on to Nicole’s problem. Nicole used to be the ultimate party girl and the spokesmodel for top brands, and recently she was almost invisible.
  • 6.
    • Nicole’s parents even took time off their hectic schedules to seek help. Nicole no longer left her room and commonly made weird comments.
  • 7.
    • Nicole was dragged to the best psychologists in L.A. that treated only Hollywood's new elite, but Nicole did not respond to the treatments.
  • 8.
    • Nicole’s parents then had no choice but to enroll the troubled girl into the new L.A. treatment center that used the highest form of technology, Virtual Reality.
  • 9.
    • On Nicole’s first day at the treatment facility, she was told to step into the VR cube.
  • 10.
    • Nicole was suddenly surrounded by all her a-list friends, but they seemed different. They seemed happy, and intrigued by her.
  • 11.
    • A while later Nicole was already involved in the groups sensational discussions. Nicole was never happier.
  • 12.
    • Nicole was once again the center of attention, and leading the young elite of Hollywood, but One thing had changed Nicole’s friends were no longer two-faced and dysfunctional, or linked together only because of their connections. Nicole had trust to them, something she had never experienced before.
