2. Shiv Nadar is an Indian Industrialist
Founder & chairman of HCL and also
Shiv Nadar Foundation.
Born in July 14, 1945 at Anna Nagar,
Chennai.
His father is Sivasubramaniya and mother
is Vamasundari Devi.
Graduation from the American college
,Madurai and degree in electrical and
electronics engineering from PSG
College of Technology.

• In 1975, Shiv Nadar, Arjun
Malhotra, Subhash Arora, Badam
Kishore Kumar, T.V Bharadwaj and
Arun Kumar He jointly started a
company named Microcomp
Limited.
• The venture was focused on
designing and manufacturing of
scientific calculators, it provided
its founders money to start a
company that focused on
manufacturing computers.
• Hindustan Computers
Limited was set up in Aug.
11, 1976.

4. He started his career at Walchand Group's Cooper
Engineering in Pune in 1967.
Founded HCL in late 1970’s
In 2009, he was counted amongst Forbes 48 Heroes of
Philanthropy in Asia Pacific.
In 2010,he received Dataquest Lifetime Achievement
awards.
Progressive Journey
The first VidyaGyan school was set up in Bulandshar in
2009.
The second VidyaGyan school set up in Sitapur in 2011.

In 1980 started far east computers and had to achieve $1 millions
in 5 months….
In 1984 when clients asked for unix pc they prepare it in 3
weeks.
