    4. 4. The Social Concerns Program of Mission San Luis Rey Parish is our ministry that reaches out in the spirit of St. Francis to give loving service to the poor and sick, to the elderly and the lonely.
    5. 5. Scouting for FOOD Please bring an unexpired canned or bagged food product to Mass on March 9th or March 16th!
    6. 6. We take time out to build a relationship with God because we are not totally self-sufficient. We need God’s grace and love.

    8. 8. Thursday April 3, 7pm Serra Center Saturday, April 12, 10am Serra Center Bilingual Communal Reconciliation Priests will be available for individual confession in English and Spanish.
    9. 9. LENTEN RETREAT 2014 The Glory of the Gospel Retreat given by Abbot Damien Toilolo, OSB Abbot of St. Andrew’s Abbey Save the date! March 10, 11 and 12 in the Parish Chapel. 7pm Mass and homily to be followed by hospitality in the Parish dining room.

    11. 11. Depriving OURSELVES of a basic necessity reminds us of our dependence on GOD for all we have.
    12. 12. Fasting during Lent means eating one main meal and two smaller meals with no snacks. Fasting laws apply to all Catholics from ages 14 to 59 who are in good health. The only fasting days by Church law are Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
