Confirmation Program<br />The Confirmation Program at Mission San Luis Rey Parish is a one year process which focuses on the Catholic Faith, prayer, ‘hands on’ liturgies, a Franciscan focus on “justice, peace, and the integrity of creation. <br />For any further information or questions please call Bill Bischoff at 760-547-0702.<br />Eligibility: 14 years or older, must have been<br />enrolled in a Catholic School or a Religious Education program within the last two years. <br />

  18. 18. Fast Facts About Our Patron Saint San Luis Rey<br />Louis IX (25 April 1214 – 25 August 1270), commonly Saint Louis, was crowned King of France when he was 12 years old. He ruled for 44 years.<br />Saint Louiswas celebrated for his piety and kindness towards the poor.<br />His life was lived for the welfare of his subjects, making him a model for future kings.<br />

Feast Day of St. Luis, King of France (aka San Luis Rey – Our Parish Patron Saint)<br />The procession of a 250 year-old statue of St. Louis will be accompanied by a live “banda” of more than a dozen musicians, followed by fireworks and refreshments in the Mission gardens.
