  • 2.
        • Father: "I want you to marry a girl of my choice"
        • Son: "I will choose my own bride!"
        • Father : "But the girl is Bill Gates's daughter."
        • Son : "Well, in that case...ok"
        • Next - Father approaches Bill Gates.
        • Father : "I have a husband for your daughter."
        • Bill Gates : "But my daughter is too young to marry!"
        • Father : "But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank."
        • Bill Gates : "Ah, in that case...ok"
  • 3.
    • Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.
    • Father : "I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president. "
    • President : "But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!"
    • Father : "But this young man is Bill Gates's son-in-law." President : "Ah, in that case...ok" Moral: Even If you have nothing, You can get Everything. But your attitude should be positive
  • 4. Reflection Opinions, Views and Perceptions differ. Acknowledge this; do not react negatively.
  • 5.
    • Once there were two boys who were very good friends. They explored, fished, and hunted together. They were both great athletes and well-liked by all in their tribe.
    • In there village there was also a young girl that they both began to like and compete for. One of the boys, out of jealousy, told the girl that the other boy had done something very bad which would disgrace him and his family.
    • This was completely untrue.
    • Afterwards, the boy felt ashamed of what he had done. He told the girl that he had lied and he apologized to his friend for what he had said.
  • 6.
    • But, as he walked around the village, he could hear others repeating the false words he had spoken about his friend.
    • Very troubled by this, he went to a wise man for advice
    • How can I undo this terrible thing I have done?', he asked.
    • The wise man told him, 'Shoot 3 ducks and 3 geese. Pull off all their feathers and put them in a bag. Bring the bag and the birds to me .'
    • The boy did this. He gave the birds to the wise man and the wise man said, 'Now, take the bag of feathers to the top of the great mountain, open it, and shake out all the feathers. Then, return here.'
  • 7. Think about the impact of your words before you say them. You can not take back something you've said
    • The boy climbed the mountain, released all the feathers into the wind, and returned to the wise man. The wise man said, 'Now, go back up the mountain and pick up every single feather you released and put them back in your bag.' The boy replied, 'But, that is not possible. The feathers have blown far away. I can never recover all of them.' The wise man said, 'So is it with your words.'
  • 8. An Anniversary Wish A married couple, both 60 years old, were celebrating their 35th wedding Anniversary. During their party, a wizard appeared to congratulate them and grant them each one wish. The wife wanted to travel around the world and poof – the wife had tickets in her hand for a world cruise. Next, the fairy asked the husband what he wanted. He said, “I wish I had a wife 30 years younger than me.” Next Slide Please…
  • 9. The wizard picked up his wand and poof – the husband was 90 years old. Reflection Unwholesome wishes sometimes come true in a most unexpected manner to the disappointment or detriment of the wisher.
  • 10.
    • A good positive attitude can truly change the way you approach life, and your future
  • 11.
    • A few years ago, there was a wildlife organization that offered a prize money of Rs 5000 for wolves captured alive. Two friends, Shyam and Ram, decided to make their fortune. Day and night, they toured the mountains and forests looking for their valuable prey.
    • Exhausted one night, they fell asleep dreaming of their potential fortune.
    • Suddenly, Shyam woke up a bit startled, and saw that they were surrounded by a huge pack of nearly 70 wolves with searing black eyes, and bared teeth. Low growls rumbling from their throats.
    • He slowly reached over and nudged his friend and said ‘Ram, wake up! I think we're rich!'
    • Shyam had a positive attitude.
  • 12. Reflection How often have conflicts and problems arisen due to a breakdown of communication and cooperation?
  • 13.
  • 14. Reflection How much trouble and suffering have arisen because of Seeing what’s not there, Hearing only what one wants to hear, and telling what’s not true.
  • 15. Dumb Pretty Nurse An ugly looking but brilliant doctor once told a dull-witted but very pretty nurse, “Even though you have little brains, your looks are simply great!” “ Oh, thank you, Doctor,” the dumb nurse said happily. “You know, how great it’d be if we were to get married …we’ll have children with your intelligence and my looks.” Next Slide please…
  • 16. “ What if our children have my looks and your brains?” the doctor remarked. Reflection We cannot assume that things will turn out the way we want them to. Life can be unpredictable and things are uncertain. When one sees this fact of life, one grows in wisdom.
  • 17. Superstition A thief and his accomplice had entered a high-rise building and had stolen some jewelry from an apartment. Suddenly there was a police siren. Thief : Quick Buddy … the police are coming … jump out of the window! Accomplice : But we’re on the 13th floor! Thief : You stupid fool! This is no time to be superstitious! Reflection When the mind is filled with negative states like fear, worry, and anger, it loses mindfulness and calm. A person in such a state can utter or do the most foolish things.
  • 18. May we all grow in our sense of Humor and our wealth of Wisdom
  • 19. THANK YOU SANGEETA REDDY
