Background of the Problem Job satisfaction is an inevitable feature of every employeeworking across the world. It is important for the BHEL to ensure the job satisfaction levelof their Contract Workers working in the organization, sincemany factors like work environment, pay, promotions and jobachievements, co-workers and attitude of the supervisors – allgo to determine the job satisfaction level. This study is crucialas satisfied employees would contribute whole heartedly toorganizational goals even under a challenging environment. Further the Study helps to find out the lapses in theorganization and to suggest sound measures to enrich Qualityof work Life and to reduce the aftermath like the complaints,grievances, absenteeism and termination in the long run. TheStudy also emphasizes the need to create opportunities forpromotion with the help of personal evaluation & training andto recognize the accomplishments of staff members.
