add text to final cut

 1. 1. browser
viewer
canvas
timeline
viewer
viewer
2. 2. I used the ‘i’ key to ‘mark in’ and the ‘o’ key to ‘mark out’ – in the “viewer window”
And then clicked and dragged the clip from the ‘viewer’ to the ‘timeline’
3. 3. Click on the “A”
Then go to ‘text’ and ‘text’
4. 4. In the viewer window, I clicked on “controls”
Then this window opens and I typed my text in here
5. 5. Then I dragged the ‘text clip’ from the viewer to the ‘V2’ track on the timeline so it appears above the video clip – and over my ‘talking head’
6. 6. To move the text in the
‘canvas window’
I clicked here and then clicked on
‘image and wireframe’
7. 7. I made sure I had the text layer on the timeline selected – and then I dragged the text and placed it where I wanted in the canvas window
8. 8. I double clicked on the text layer in the timeline
And then clicked on ‘controls’ again in the “viewer”
Then I dragged the “size slider” until my text was the right size in the “canvas window”
