It is a project uted throughout the campus. It supports projects to make RISD and Providence more bike friendly. It also organizes events for the cycling community such as rides, races and workshops. PINK Pink Rides is a free service. Its goal is to extend the joys of cycling to those who do not have access. It allows a broader range of motion to students who do not own bikes, thus allowing students to get out of their quot;bubblequot; with greater ease. It also provides a means of green transportation. pink rides is Currently Pink Rides is in its BETA stage. Pilot bikes and advertisement will be on campus before Nov. 20. We + a community bike hope to gather information on a small scale before going big with the concept. The bikes will be stored on the racks outside 15 West. We are looking for donations from organizations who are involved or interested in the cycling community in Providence. Our biggest current need is bike locks. Quality locks are far out of our budget, however, cheap locks are a huge risk as theft could quickly end our endeavors. We are RIDES also in need of bicycles in working or near working condition. We also need parts to repair several bikes we currently own.
