2. Consist of a group of children sitting in a circle facing
inward.
A child, the “picker” will go around the circle calling
each one „duck‟ until choosing one child to be the
„goose‟.
The „goose‟ then will try to chase and tag the “picker”
while the “picker” will try to return to the spot where
the „goose‟ has been sitting.
If the „goose‟ succeed in tagging the “picker”, then
the „goose‟ can return to her/his previous place and
“picker” will resume the process.
If the “picker” succeed then the „goose‟ will become
the new “picker” and the process begin again.
5. This game allow the children to use their
gross motor skills such as running and
sitting.
This develop their leg and hand muscles.
Require the children to focus and to be alert.
For example when the “picker” goes around
the circle the other children need to be alert
in order to react faster when they‟re chosen
as the „goose‟.
6. The children also improve on their speaking
skill. This gives practice on their voice
projection and mouth muscle.
For example, the children must speak louder
for all the children can hear her/his voice.
7. Helps to improve the children‟s social skills
such as conversation skill.
For example, the children will have to
communicate and behave in order for the
game to be flow as it require the cooperation
of all the people in the group.
The children will learn to adjust in a group of
people and to think about others.
8. For example, a child cannot expect to not to
be chose as the „goose‟ and also to be chosen
all the time. They have to let others have the
chances to play as well.
They learn to respect the other people‟s
decision and choice.
For example, when a child choose someone
to be the „goose‟, the other child cannot just
object the decision and do not want to play.
They have to realise that everyone have their
rights in making decision and choice.
9. The children learn about coordination.
For example, the picker‟s mind automatically
will perform the coordination task of how to
reach the spot and to avoid and escape the
„goose‟ chase.
This game also will make sure the players
mind active and alert.
10. For example, the players will try to identify
the patterns of the “picker” in choosing the
„goose‟ such as moving slowly which might
indicate that they are going to choose the
„goose‟. This will give the other children hint
to be ready.
11. Basically this game covers and have positive
outcomes on physical, socioemotional, and
intellectual aspects of the children while
letting them having fun.
