  7. 7. Online Terminology<br />Page Views - Is the number of times the internet site and its channels have been viewed. In media terms it determines the number of page views a site received per month. <br />Unique Visitors - Individual visitors to a website who is counted as a single visitor irrespective of the number of times he or she revisits the site. Websites usually rely on some type of user identification (such a user registration with a unique password) or an identifying code (called a 'cookie') that attaches to the user's browser in order to determine the unique number<br />Impressions - The number of times a banner ad was requested and presumably seen by users.<br />
  8. 8. Online Terminology<br />CTR –Click Through Rate %: Click Through Rate is the percentage of impressions that resulted in a click through. Calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the number of impressions.<br />CPM –Cost Per 1,000 Impressions: Cost per thousand is one of the online payment models by which advertisers pays for every 1000 impressions of their advertisement.<br />CPC – Cost Per Click: Cost per click is one of the online payment models by which advertisers pays for each click through made on their advertisement.<br />CPL – Cost Per Lead: Cost per lead is one of the online payment models by which advertisers pays for every lead (registration) completed as a result of a visitor clicking on their advertisement.<br />CPA – Cost Per Action: Cost per action is one of the online payment models by which advertisers pays for ever action (sale) completed as a result of a visitor clicking on their advertisement.<br />
