TPACK T = Technological knowledge / technology content knowledge =knowledge about using technology P = Pedagogical knowledge / pedagogical content knowledge = knowledge about the science, theory and art of teaching And C = Content Knowledge = core subjects, skills and strategies K = Knowledge
  • 3. WHAT IS TPACK? It highlights the kinds of knowledge required by teachers for the effective integration of technology in the classroom. the complex interplay of three primary forms of knowledge: Content

CONTENT KNOWLEDGE TECHNOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE  Content knowledge (CK) is teachers’ knowledge about the subject matter to be learned or taught. Knowledge of content is extremely important this knowledge would include knowledge of concepts, theories, ideas, organizational frameworks, knowledge of evidence and proof, as well as established practices and approaches toward developing such PEDAGOGICAL KNOWLEDGE  Pedagogical knowledge (PK) is teachers’ deep knowledge about the processes and practices or methods of teaching and learning. This form of knowledge applies to understanding how students learn, general classroom management skills, lesson planning, and student assessment.  Technology knowledge (TK) is always expanding and changing.  It is very hard to have a definition for technological knowledge because Any definition of technology knowledge is in danger of becoming outdated by the time What Is Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge? CONCLUSI ON  Tpack is a framework for teacher knowledge for technology integration.  Teachers must realize that classroom instruction is the most effective when teaching and technology go hand in hand.  TPACK develops over time, with important experiences where the teachers are challenged to focus on pedagogy, content and the technology happening at the same time rather than separately.
