      • Use the following guidelines to help you as you identify and develop your personal goals.
      • Be realistic.
      • Be specific.
      • Personalize it.
      • Put your goals in writing.
      • Know your reasons for setting your goals
      • Consider goals for all parts of fitness.
      • Self-assess periodically and keep logs.
      • Focus on improvement.
      • Set new goals periodically.
      • Revise if necessary.
      • Reward yourself.
      • Participate in activities with others who have similar abilities.
      • Consider maintenance goals.
