  • 1. Task 4 - Design and develop one task using the web based manipulative.
  • 2.
    • TARGET GROUP:
    • YEAR 2 (advanced)
    • LEARNING OUTCOME:
    • At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
    • Identify three-dimensional shapes based on descriptions.
    • SYNOPSIS OF THE TASK:
    • - The task is designed for Year 2 advanced learners. This activity is very suitable and will be very effective for teachers to examine pupils’ understanding of the topic that they have learnt. This activity can be very interesting for the pupils because they will enjoy investigating the shapes with their friends and also to compete with each other to get the title of “Shape Detective”. Besides that, this task will not only challenge their mind and knowledge about the shapes and its features but the descriptions given will also enhance their knowledge about the topic and bring them to the real world situation where they can find the shapes everywhere around them.
  • 3. “ Teachers’ Guide”
    • Procedures:
    • Teacher tells pupils that they are going to play a quiz.
    • Teacher tells the title of the quiz “Shape Investigation” and asks what they could understand from the title.
    • Teacher tells pupils that they will be given a few questions and they are required to investigate type of 3D shapes using the clue given.
    • When they have identified the shape, pupils need to drag the shape and put it in the space provided.
    • Teacher gives 10 minutes for the pupils to complete the task and tells that the first person who has completed the task successfully will be called as “Shapes Detective”.
