  • 1. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
  • 2. Our film had a fairly broad spectrum of companies that would be interested in producing and distributing our film. Due to the nature of the storyline and plot, the film could either be a very high priced blockbuster, or a low budget thriller. Originally we were focusing on a very high budget, all out production, produced by Paramount and distributed by Universal, but once the changes to the storyline were made and we became an art house film, our producer and distributor changed. We are now produced by New Market Films and distributed by E1 Entertainment.
  • 3. E1 and New Market films seemed to be the type of companies that would have been more likely to take a chance and help produce and distribute a film like ours. Due to the fact that there are some elements to the storyline and editing choices that are not conventionally found in mainstream cinema, larger production and distribution companies might not be so willing to attempt to bring this unconventional techniques to the cinema screen.
