In our film we have a person who can best be described as a victim. Who is a key part
within our film. However the difference within our film is the victim appears less
helpless and as a character appears quiet strong compared to other thrillers were the
victim is female and in some cases male but shown as a weak character.
Hitman in this film the hit men at the start appear to convey the film stereo type of
being cold and heartless but the difference in our film is that the character shows a
lot of emotion rather than appearing cool calm collective thought he shows how the
job changed him.

2. Stock narrative
Revenge
Kidnapping
Serial murder/crime
Revenge is a major part of our film opening is revenge, however it is only
show later on in the opening were the character meets a relative of Steve
wanting answers. who then reacts by giving him a gun shot wound
Kidnapping and revenge are closely linked within our opening as a
characters reaction to a kidnapping confirms his suspicions leading to
his revenge
Serial murder/crime although no murdering is shown within our film
however it is mention by one of the character through out. We choose to
do this so you can get partly into the characters personality and learn
about the story further
3. Stock setting
Apartment
Parking lot
Apartment we choose this to show the type of hit men they are being based in a poor
area supposedly part London. But the poverty is shown in the flash back to show
were the character came from which would be shown more further threw the film.
We decided to use a parking lot as the meeting place since it met our needs
allowing for us to create a perfect seen for suspense and worked out to be one
of the most interesting scenes because of the way it appear dark with no one
around he perfect place for our characters. Giving them quick easy ways to exit
the area and represented the genre well.
With our other scene we tried to make it feel like part of the genre in having low
quality areas with little amounts of people being around at any time making the
audience feel as if anything can happen. Showing the suspense of the genre.
4. Iconography
Weaponry (guns)
Gadgets
Masks
Weaponry (guns) In using guns through research we found as it adds
suspense and the unpredictability factor that I noticed in such films as
collateral just by seeing him hide the gun from a unsuspecting person adds
such tension keeping the audience on the edge of there seats waiting for
something to happen.
Gadgets such as the latest phones appearing in the thriller genre to show the
wealth of the characters and adds style to the movie and showing that they
are up to the times and ready for change.
Masks adds tension in the fact you d not know who the character is and
also allows us to build up the fear in one particular scene that works well
in our efforts to portray a thriller.
5. • Compared with such films as collateral we betrayed the style
of a thriller character well smartly dressed in a suit however we
chose to put the main character not in a suit but still be a
casual in a way with some smart aspects.
• Also the use of a handgun to build tension and prepare the
audience was another key thing that was used in a similar way
to collateral.
• Also the use of short temper from the character in both
dialogue and body language in some scenes we tried to
incorporate.
Scene that best fitted the
genre and is one of the The use of a silver expensive
perfect meeting place for car also is a recurring feature
