2. First Aid For Heart Stroke
• Numbness/weakness of an
arm/leg/face/one side of
body
• Sudden confusion in
speaking/understanding speech
SYMPTOMS
• Impaired vision in one or both eyes
• Sudden headache
• Loss of balance/co-ordination
• Dizziness
• Facial deviation to one side.
3. PREVENTION
• If you suspect stroke, call
emergency medical help.
• Reassure the patient.
• Lay the patient down with feet
elevated.
• If patient is not breathing ,do a
CPR.
• Place the patient on the left side
if breathing/not responsive.
• Keep the chin slightly extended.
• Never give a suspected stroke victim anything to eat/drink .
• Do not permit the victim to move

• Smoking/ Tobacco use
• Family History of Heart Ailments
• High Blood Pressure (more than 140/90)
6. Healthy-Heart Lifestyle
Spend less time in front of TV
Give up smoking
Get enough sleep
Avoid trigger foods
Avoid soda and caffeine
Eat small meals
Exercise good dental hygiene
Drink herbal beverages as Wheatgrass Juice, Green tea
