    Materialism has been defined as the theory that physical well being and worldly possession constitute the greatest good and highest value in life.
    What is the source of materialism?
    How this influence us and our society?
    How we can avoid this?
  • 3. SOURCE
    Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate, so we can buy “stuff” we don't need
    Media
    Availability
    Greed
    Low Self-Esteem
  • 4. INFLUENCE
    The only reason a great many American families don't own an elephant is that they have never been offered an elephant for a dollar down and easy weekly payments.
    Dissatisfaction
    Depression
    Distraction
  • 5. Way OUT
    Most of us want more income, so we can consume more. Yet as societies become richer, they do not become happier. In fact, the First World has more depression, more alcoholism and more crime than fifty years ago.

  • 6. MATERIALISM
    Let’s educate ourselves, our children and our society the theory of materialism… and set examples for our family and friends and strengthen our believe that more material or possessions will not bring more HAPPINESS…
