  • 1. PEER in Padang Ambulan 118 CSSR Response
    • On September 30 2009, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck near the town of Padang in Western Sumatra, Indonesia. The first civilian response team on the ground was PEER-implementing organization, Ambulan 118.
    • They extracted two survivors buried under a collapsed building in coordination with the Indonesian Army. These photos show their CSSR skills in action; tunneling into rubble and saving lives.
