The units in this qualification The Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Food and Beverage Service) is a 16-credit and 132 guided learning hour (GLH) qualification that consists of five mandatory core units and five optional units. Core Units: Unit 1 Safe, Hygienic & Secure Working Environments in Hospitality Unit 2 Effective Teamwork Unit 3 Giving Customers a Postive Impression Unit 23 Food Safety in Catering Unit 24 Principles of Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel & Tourism Optional Units: Unit 7 Preparation & Cleaning of Service Areas Unit 8 Service of Food at Table Unit 9 Service of Alcoholic & Non-Alcoholic Drinks Unit 75 Principles of Receiving, Storing & Issuing Drinks Stock Unit 76 Principles of Resolving Customer Service Problems Progression options The programme supports progression on to further qualifications such as Apprenticeships and NVQs.   • 5. Get on a Course and Get Ahead! The course was an excellent opportunity to meet new people and share my ideas about how to find work successfully. I also feel I’ve made good progress in finding work, because of this course. To the dearest teacher, It was so good to be in the class and I was happy to take part in the group.
