  2. 2. The FSA has published the revised Food Law Code of Practice for England, which provides guidance to local authorities on their approach to official controls at food business establishments. The current Code of Practice for England came into force on 6 April 2014.
  3. 3. The Most Recent Changes Include:  Clarification of the descriptors used to rate & assign intervention frequencies at food establishments.  Greater focus on businesses with persistent or serious non-compliance by reducing the frequency of interventions in those businesses with good management controls in place.  A reduction in dual enforcement in a small number of establishments currently subject to both FSA & local authority control.
