Social constructionist ideas and the study of entrepreneurship<br />In contrast to cognitive orientation of social constructivism, social constructionist ideas are more concern with how people come to be and know the world interactively.<br />Research questions are directed towards investigating the dialogic , interpretive, social and relational process through which entrepreneurial activity are constructed.<br />
Social constructionist ideas and the study of entrepreneurship<br />Social constructionist thinkers, in contrast to what many critics claim, do not deny presence of a outside reality.<br />In applying constructionist ideas and being rational aware in their research, it is insufficient for researchers to claim that they are separate or detached from what is being investigate.<br />
Conclusions:<br />In this chapter, it has been argued that social constructivist and constructionist ideas can significantly aid our understanding of entrepreneurial practices.<br />
Conclusions: social constructionist & constructivist ideas<br />In Social constructivist, learning and teaching becomes concerned with the ways in which entrepreneurial activities are constructed through individual, cognitive process within a social context. <br />With social constructionist ideas in mind, the learning, teaching and research process becomes more concerned with interrelationship between individual acts of entrepreneurial agency and cultural, social and opportunity structural environment.<br />
