Rectangular Prisms!?!?
Question... How do you find the surface area of a rectangular prism?
Answer: Well you can find the surface area of ANY rectangular prism by following these simple steps...
Step 1- Find the height, width, and length of your rectangular prism
now brace yourself because here comes the hard part…
Okay, Step 2- This is the part where you have to do an equation. The equation is…
L = Length H = Height W = Width 2 (LxH) + 2 (HxW) + 2(LxW)
Right now your probably thinking OH MY I CANT DO THAT IS THAT EVEN ENGLISH!?!?!? Haha well, that’s what I thought but now ...
Height = 4cm Length = 6cm Width = 5cm Surface Area = 2 (LxH) + 2 (HxW) + 2(LxW) SA= 2 (6x4) + 2 (4x5) 2 + (6x5) SA= 2 (24)...
Easy Stuff Hey?
Now Onto Volume! YAY!
(Don't Worry, Volume is A LOT easier than surface area)
First thing you got to do… Find the length, height, and width again (just like you did for surface area)
Now all you have to do is Length x Width x Height!
Here’s an Example:  Height = 4cm Length = 6cm Width = 5cm A= L x H x W A= 6 x 4 x 5 A = 120cm 3
Now You Know how to find the surface area AND the Volume of a rectangular prism!
