  • 3. A tsunami in the Indian Ocean in2004 Before 2004, there were no monitoring instruments inthe        Indian Ocean and also many countries. However, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that killed almost230,000 people.So, government create an Indian Ocean tsunami warningsystem. 
  • 4. Tsunami warning system When an earthquake happens in the Indian Ocean, theTsunami data transmits other center.Pacific Tsunami warning center (PTWC) and JapanMeteorological Agency(JMA) in Tokyo analysis the data andprovides the Tsunami warning information.Sharing information is very important because other smallcountries can invest other useful technology.

What is "RIMES" ?RIMES is new Tsunami warning systems name.  RIMES stands for Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard EarlyWarning System.RIMES is created by the Asian Disaster PreparednessCenter (ADPC).  The ADPC has been coordinating its own efforts since 2005. RIMES will share the information with Hawaii and Japan.

Emergency population warningWhen an earthquakes strikes and Tsunami happens, warningcenters are delivered in a variety of ways. First, many national agencies will have also received theirown information from local, regional seismic centers, buoys,news bulletins and so on. Next, the agency determine to delivered emergencypopulation warnings.Last, the warnings delivered radio, television, SMS, emails.
  • 7. Conclusion After 2004, India and related country created theTsunami warning systems such as RIMES.  The Tsunami warning systems share the information aboutthe earthquakes magnitude, sea level, water pressure, etc.  In addition, today India try to prepare the warning ofTsunami. NGOs and community groups are involved ineducating and coordinating local populations to know what todo  when hear the tsunami warning or see the someonessign of tsunami comming.
