  • 2. What is a review of the literature? ● A review of literature is the evaluation which the topic is published by accredited researchers and scholars ● It is not summary and the list of sources of the thesis
  • 3. What you need to review a literature 1. To organize around and relate to the thesis and research questions which you are developing 2. To synthesize results of a summary of what is and is not known 3. To decide a theme to discuss in the literature 4. To describe questions that need further research
  • 4. Ask quetions yourself(1) 1. What is the specific thesis, problem, or search question the my literature review helps to define? 2. What type of literature review which I conclude? What am I looking at issues of theory, methodology, policy and quantitative research? 3. What is the topic of my literature review? What types of publications which I use? What discipline which I work in? 4. Can you find good information? What are the materials which my search been wide certainly?
  • 5. Ask questions yourself(2) 1.Have I evaluated the literatures I use to summarize them, discussing strengths and weaknesses? 2.Is my reviewing of literatures suitable? 3.Can my literture make the reader understand what my litertures are review relevant, appropriate and useful?
  • 6. Ask youself questions like these about each book or article(1) 1. What are the problems which the author described? 2. What is the significance which the author established? 3. Could the problem approached more effectively comparing another perspective? 4. What is the field of the author's research orientation? 5. What is the relationship between the theoretical and research perspectives? 6. How evaluate the author the literture including the problem and issue? Does the author include literature taking positions she or he does not agree with?
  • 7. Ask youself questions like these about each book or article(2) 1.In a research study, what are the good basic components of the study design? How accurate and valid are the measurements of the study? Is the analysis of the data accurate and relevant to the research question? Are the conclusions validly based on the data and analysis? 2.Does the author use appeals to feeling, example on one sided and tone? 3.What are ways which the book or article contribute to help us understanding of the problem of the study, and is it useful for practice? What are the strengths and limitations? 4.How does this book or article relate to the specific thesis or question I will describe?
  • 8. Conclusion ● A literture review is not summary but evaluation. ● It is important to show the facts, find the problems and define future works when we review literatures
