  • 3. How about Toyota.●Toyota motor corporation is the worlds largestautomobile manufacturer by production.●They are also management motorsport team, asFormula One, NASCAR. (But, Formula Onepulled out in 2009.)
  • 4. Ranking down of Toyota● By Foebes.com, Toyota ranked 360th place bythe ranking of best of company in 2010 data.●But, Toyota ranked 3rd place by the ranking ofbest of company in 2009 data.●So, Toyota has happening accidents in 2009-2010.
  • 5. Accidents of Toyota●In 2009,Feb. 28, NHTSA had received 43complaints of accidents involving 52 deaths, theU.S. Department of Transportation reportedTuesday.●As of Feb. 15, the numbers were 26 incidentsand 34 fatalities.●It is important to note that these are notconfirmed.
  • 6. Cause of Accidents● It is brake of NHTSA. All drivers brakedsuccessfully without loss of life.● It also said the computer could not open thethrottle without the accelerator pedal pressed,and, the brakes would be able to stop the caranyway.

Effect of US● In a February 2010 letter to Toyota, UScongressional investigators "said a review ofconsumer complaints produced by Toyota showsthat company personnel identified sticking pedalsor floor mats as the cause of only 16 percent ofthe unintended acceleration reports".●Several media reports later claimed that Toyotahad announced that the recalls will not completelysolve the gas pedal problems.

Aftermath● Toyota stopped producing vehicles on certainproduction lines for the week of February 1, 2010,to assess and coordinate activities.● , Toyota Motors as a whole announced that itcould face losses totaling as much as US$2 billionfrom lost output and sales worldwide.●It was struggling to emerge from the recessionand had already suffered from a resultantdecrease in sales
