POP POP is abbreviation of Post Office Protocol. It is one of communications protocol to use e-mail. When user take out own e-mail from mail server, it is used. If this is used, the privacy problem can be solved. Today, ner improved one “POP3” is used.
Terminal adapter A terminal adapter or TA is a device that connects a computer to the ISDN network. The TA therefore fulfills a similar function to the one a modem has on the POTS network. There are devices combine the functions of an ISDN TA with those of a classical modem. TA/modems permit connections from both ISDN and analog-line/modem counterparts.
