Group Discussion Week 13

 1. 1. How Encryption for Strong Security Works s1170135 Huyuki Ito s1170140 Kazuho Okuyama s1170141 Keiya Kato s1170142 eisuke Kamiya

POP

Terminal adapter

IEFT

TCP/IP

 2. 2. POP POP is abbreviation of Post Office Protocol. It is one of communications protocol to use e-mail. When user take out own e-mail from mail server, it is used. If this is used, the privacy problem can be solved. Today, ner improved one “POP3” is used.
 3. 3. Terminal adapter A terminal adapter or TA is a device that connects a computer to the ISDN network. The TA therefore fulfills a similar function to the one a modem has on the POTS network. There are devices combine the functions of an ISDN TA with those of a classical modem. TA/modems permit connections from both ISDN and analog-line/modem counterparts.
 4. 4. IEFT IEFT means The Internet Engineering Task Force. It promotes Internet standards, dealing in particular with standards of the TCP/IP and Internet protocol suite. It is an open standards organization, with no formal membership or membership requirements. All participants and managers are volunteers.
 5. 5. TCP/IP Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and the Internet Protocol (IP), which were the first two networking protocols defined in this standard. Today's IP networking represents a synthesis of several developments that began to evolve in the 1960s and 1970s, namely the Internet and LANs (Local Area Networks) together with the advent of the World Wide Web in the early 1990s.
