●The downloaded MIB data into useful
information in the form of system diagrams,
graphs,and reports. The console programs
compare the statistics to preset standards
and, if necessary ,issue alerts and reports on
unusual conditions.
Role of SNMP
● A management program
uses massages
conforming to the Simple
Network Management
Protocol (SNMP) to poll
the agent program
funning in various
network devices. When
the agents reply, the
SNMP console program
aggregates the
information and presents
it graphically.
