    1. How Network Management Systems Work ● Management console program. ● Role of SNMP. ● The Management information Base. ● The Bridge/router.
    2. Management console program ●The downloaded MIB data into useful information in the form of system diagrams, graphs,and reports. The console programs compare the statistics to preset standards and, if necessary ,issue alerts and reports on unusual conditions.
    3. Role of SNMP ● A management program uses massages conforming to the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) to poll the agent program funning in various network devices. When the agents reply, the SNMP console program aggregates the information and presents it graphically.
    4. The Management Information Base ● MIB data use SNMP-based management program
    5. The Bridge/Router. Equipment that relays data that flows on network to other networks.
