  4. 4. What is a literature review? ● A literature review is an account of publishing on a topic by accredited scholars and researchers. ● Purpose of writing literature review is communicating knowledge and ideas have been established on a topic.
  5. 5. Getting skills two areas Writing a literature review is not only enlarging your knowledge but also gaining and demonstrating skills two areas: 1. Information seeking 2. Critical appraisal
  6. 6. A literature review do four things A literature review must do four things: 1. Be organized around and related directly to the thesis or research question you are developing. 2. Synthesize results into a summary of what is and is not known.
