THE BACKGROUND OF RESEARCH English occupies the first language in improving our lives, especially in globalization era, need the real condition of the societies, student, and workers environment 1. English is subject in Indonesia school whether it is in junior high school or universities. In fact nowadays English is taught in some elementary school as a ”local content”. It is because of the fact that many students are not able to speaking English well. Although they have learned English from the junior high school to university’ There are four skills that have to be mastered by student by student in using English namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Speaking is one of the skill which need more attention than the other skills. Language exist in two forms spoken and written aspect.2 English is a subject that is very important to learn, because it will be useful I our life of communication. At present time the emphasis of English teaching is on spoken language if he can speak in that language.   2. 2. appropriate techniques and motivate the student to speak English. The teacher is the one who has power to make the classroom activities run well3. And the teacher is a leader, planner, and overall a coordinator of activities4. So it is the teacher’s role to carry out all of these factors in the class to make the integrate learning of English as efficient as possible. It is very important to have the most appropriate method and techniques of teaching speaking. Limitation of the research This study is not aimed at solving all the problems mentioned. It is just concerned to the techniques of teaching namely the effect of dubbing movie students speaking performance.D. Objective of the research 1. To find out whether the teaching of speaking performance at the third year student of MAN Ar-RahmanSelupuRejang. 2. To know the students speaking performance before teaching by using large class activities. 3. To know the students speaking performance after teaching by using dubbing movie.E. Hypothesis Hi : There is effect in the speaking mastery of students who are taught speaking by using dubbing movie. Ho : There is no effect in the speaking master of students who are taught speaking by using dubbing movie.

Speaking ability Speaking is being able to use language. Ability is the quality of being to perform, a quality that permit or facilitates achievement of accomplishment6.in this research, speaking is the students’ ability to speak in English in man ar-rahamselupurejang in second of language program. 2. Dubbing method Dubbing method one cooperation where the student will be divided. In this research, dubbing in the method that will be used by the researcher to increase student’s speaking ability. G. Significance Of The Research The significance of the research is as follow: 1. For teacher it is expected that the English teachers are able to improve their students performance in speaking by using a proper technique which is effective and efficient. 2. For students they can practice their ability of speaking using small group in order to get a satisfactory performance. Speaking is activity used in language to express meaning. Speaking is skill which is used by student most in real- life situation. Speaking is in fact doing in one of the most important human way. Student speaking skill is potential to express message by using English which is performed by the student whether outside inside the classroom. The student are expected to use the language for real communication because it is important part of student everyday interaction to speaking English which is based on his/her ability to speak fluently and comprehensibly7. Speaking is an important aspect in language learning. By speaking, we can convey information and ideas, and maintain social relationship by communicating with other. The ability in a foreign language which is meant to be able to use a foreign language8. Being able to speak and understand with friend, colleagues, visitors and stranger in a language is surely the goal of many learners to show their improvements in learning a foreign language one skill can be performed without another. “a person‟s speaking ability is usually judged during a face to face interaction, in real time, between an interlocutor and a candidate. The assessor has to make instantaneous judgments about a range of aspects of what is being aid, as it is being said”. (Luoma : 2004) Some people often think that the ability to speak a language is the product of language learning. Nowadays, although learner have learned English for years, many of them are still incapable to use English orally. These may be caused by the limitation of opportunity to practice, lack of vocabulary, or psychological, factors which more concern to the fear of making mistakes when speaking English. The student‟s success in learning speaking can be measured through the ability of learners to participate in conversation activities, Nunan (1995). a. Theory of speaking Of all the four skill ( listening, speaking, reading and writing ), speaking seem intuitively the most important, people who know a language are referred to as „speakers‟ of that language, as if speaking included all other kind of knowing and many if not most foreign language learners are primarily interested in learning to speak9. For the most people, mastering the art of speaking is the single most important aspect of learning a second or foreign language, and success is measured in terms of the ability to carry out a conversation in the language10. Speaking is in fact doing in one of the most important human ways. As much as possible of the period of time allotted to the activity is in fact occupied by learner talk. This nay seem obvious, but often most time is taken up with teacher talk or pauses. b) Participation is even. A minority of talkative participants does not dominate classroom discussion, all get a chance to speak, and contributions are fairly evenly distributed. c) Motivation is high. Learners eager to speak because they interested in the topic and have something new to say about it, they want to contribute to achieving a task objective. c. Teaching speaking The teaching of the speaking skill is more demanding on the teacher than the teaching of any other language skill. Teaching speaking has been undervalued and English language teacher have continued to speaking just as a repetition of drills or12 Internet. In teaching speaking there are some principles that should be noticed namely: 1. Be aware of the differences between second language and foreign language learning contexts. 2. Give the students practice with both fluency and accuracy. 3. Provide opportunities for students to talk by using group work or pair work and limiting teacher talk. 4. Plan speaking tasks that involve negotiation for meaning. 5. Design classroom activities that involve guidance and practice in both transactional and interactional speaking. Teaching speaking is a very important part of second learning. The ability to communicate in a second language clearly and efficiently contributes to the success of learner in school and success later in every phase if life. Dubbing in Indonesian is sulih voice that is fill role voice in film or change original voice that film from foreign language to Indonesian. Advertisement Dubbing 4. foreign Dubbing Film. Dubbing [is] technique alter actor voice and actress which share in a film to is other. For example us often see film [in] television ( anime, india, madarin, etc) which [is] altered [by] dialogue of becoming to have Indonesian. One who become its voice filler [is] referred [as] with dubber. Dubbing also mean to fill voice from foreign language to language which easy to be understood.
