Film genre – Horror
Proposal
My proposal is to make a spoof trailer with a horror genre.
The main conventions found within this genre are ghost,
blood and gore, masks, zombies. The name of the film will be
“The Legend of Red Mount” Generally the horror film is
structured in the same way. It is relaxed at first then tension is
built up the characters are introduced and then generally there is
a chase and then at the end the scary things stops or is destroyed.
The story will be set in a small town which has been over
come by ghosts. It is based on two men’s struggle to get away
from the ghost. It will be a spoof of the genre in the whole as
they are all quite similar. It will be a spoof so it will have a
comedy element to it. For example have the character screaming
and running about.
From looking at the spoof trailers of the horror genre and
generally there is a lot of screaming in them and also anyway it
can be made funny it is done.
The target audience will be aimed at the age range of
18-35 and also slightly aimed at men as most horror films we
have seen are aimed at.
