The Route to Living Our Dreams Part 2
I asked the question in part 1: “ Are We Too Smart for Our Own Good?”
I don't think we have to be all that clever to be financially successful
Financial success does require work. We must take action.
If we aren't getting the results we want, we must do something different.
We must unlearn what we have learned.
It isn't necessary to create something new to be successful.
Most successful products and business build on old ideas.
Google was not the first search engine.
Apple did not invent the computer.
Starbucks did not invent coffee.
Donald Trump did not invent real estate.
Warren Buffet did not invent the stock market.
Stop thinking that you have to come up with some completely unique idea that's never been thought of ever.
Look at others who do what you do. Are any of them achieving what you want?
You might think you are cool, but maybe you aren't.
If you are so darn smart, why aren't you rich?
Now for some criteria
The business must have the ability to generate the income I want from it.
It's not how much I make, it's how much I keep.
Every business requires some investment.
I want a business that requires an investment I can afford.
No matter how smart I am, I cannot assume I know enough to make the business successful.
I am prepared to toss my conventional wisdom out the window if need be.
I want to find someone who to teach me. This is my business expert.
I listen to my expert.
I do what my expert tells me I need to do.
I Need A Goal
I must have a goal. I need something to aim at. If I don't know where I am going, I'm already there.
I Need A Plan
The plan lays out the approach to get to the goal.
If I don't have a written plan, there will be no success. I will wander around aimlessly.
I have to review my plan often.
I am not too concerned that the plan isn't perfect. I can always adjust it. It is my plan after all.
My expert will help me ensure that the plan is realistic.
I have to be patient and let the plan work.
There is no such thing as overnight success
So be patient
These are all the elements I need. Now it's time to get to some specifics.
That will be in the next series. http://nuTeamSynergy.com/tell-me-more
