The Respiratory System<br />System that enables breathing<br />many parts to help you do basic actions<br />You release carbon dioxide and take in oxygen<br />Blood provides body parts oxygen<br />Respiratory system supplies the blood oxygen<br />All parts combine keeping respiratory functioning properly <br />Here are some parts of the respiratory system…<br />
  • 3. Alveolus<br />The container where air goes when inhaled<br />A tiny sac like structure<br />Exchange of gases occurs here<br />
  • 4. Bronchus<br />Located within the lungs<br />Holds and connects the lungs and trachea together<br />
  • 5. Trachea<br />Tube like structure<br />Connects voice box and lungs together<br />
  • 6. Larynx (Voice Box)<br />Area where voice sounds are made<br />Made from movement of inhaling and exhaling air<br />
  • 7. Lungs<br />Produce oxygen<br />Removes carbon dioxide waste<br />
  • 8. Bronchioles<br />Located within the lungs<br />Connected to the bronchus<br />Smallest branches of the bronchus<br />
  • 9. Diaphragm<br />Stable wall produced by muscle<br />isolates abdominal cavity from chest cavity<br />provides a way to inhale air and enlarge lungs<br />
