  • - all templates in db must also be saved as files or installer chokes
    - empty template files are currently not supported by the installer but i filed a bug with EL

  • the site i upgraded had a gallery module. EE 2 left the database tables intact, so i could write a custom add-on or code to use that gallery data (or export it)

  • when beta came out only a handful were available, mostly plugins. now there are (according to devot:ee more than 150 add-ons available for EE2
including big ones like playa, matrix, wygwam, low variables and MORE HERE

  • need updates to Textmate bundle, Coda snippets
    EE 2 Module DevKit

    20. 20. upgrade directly on server • use a sandbox version of the site • use version control • use a dev server or domain
    21. 21. screenshot of book website
    22. 22. should clients upgrade? • new projects only for me • must be a reason • most clients wouldn't pay for it anyway
