The Dutch Ministry of Finance issued a new commemorative euro coin in April 2009. As the designer of this coin I was invited by the Dutch Coin House (Het Nederlandsche Muntenhuis) to present my design, prior to the official presentation. On the 5th of April US president Barack Obama received the coin from Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende.
