        • Planning is the key to a successful site!
        • Information architecture (how users will navigate throughout your site) ‏
          • Sitemap (the 30,000 foot view) ‏
          • Wireframe (the browser level view) ‏
          • Navigation (consistency) ‏

    • PART 3: INFORMATION DESIGN CONTENT
    • Information Design
      • Good Design compliments content
        • Use a web font (Arial or Times) for content, never use graphics for large areas of text
        • Use a consistent font throughout your site
        • skimmers vs. readers (make it easy to scan your content) ‏
        • Identify links, pdfs, word docs to users
      • Other Important Considerations:

      • Aesthetic Design = Graphics
      • Information Design = Content
    • When these three unite
      • You create a user experience that is positive, and that is priceless
      • You create the right elements to be found in search engines
      • You give users reason to come back to your site
      • Most importantly, you create a center of marketing for yourself
