CHESED PROJECTS I thank you in advance for helping me and the place I now call my summer home. The Campers are very appreciative for it, as are the thousands of holy Neshamot that will IY"H work there in the future. As part of my Bar Mitzvah, I will be performing a service project by volunteering to raise money for a wonderful organization, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Please read my story at to learn about CHOP, and please consider contributing to this cause. Please call Leon Paley at 732.390.6623 if you have any questions. Thanks for your help! Joel Paley ********** I will be running in the Jerusalem Marathon with Team Yachad on March 21st. Yachad is all about inclusion and this run is to raise sponsorship money to benefit individuals with disabilities. I will B"H be participating in the 10K run alongside a Yachad member. Any sponsors would be greatly appreciated (tell your friends as well!) a/ Much thanks from Israel! Adina Grayman ********** I have spent the last two summers in Camp HASC (Hebrew Academy for Special Children). In case you are not familiar, Camp HASC is a special needs camp, where over 350 campers, children and adults, with various kinds of physical and mental disabilities spend their summer. What these two summers have done for me is something that nothing else in the world could have for me. I have grown up there, matured there, and learned to appreciate the tiniest things in life there. Every step I take, every sound and word I speak, every time I move my hands, every time I am able to sit and eat and taste whatever I would like, and every time I think for myself is now viewed as such an unbelievable miracle. I went from being someone who went through the motions of life to someone who picks up on all the little, seemingly unimportant things that we take for granted but really shouldn't. It really is a true Beracha to work a single day in Camp HASC....two summers is something that is just mind blowing. I still speak to three of my campers on a consistent basis, phone calls I look forward to having every day. That is why, this February, I will IY"H be running in the Ft. Lauderdale half marathon with Team HASC. Please read through the little blurb on my page, and watch the two embedded videos. Camp HASC needs your help to be able to give people with disabilities a place to be able to call their summer home. Without your help, the magic cannot be sustained. Please consider sponsoring me as I raise money to help make a life a little better for these incredibly special and unique individuals.
