If you know of anyone, please contact Barry Schechter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abe Rosenstein of Edison New Jersey, the only child sole survivor of Holocaust parents, is in need of a kidney. Without an extended family, the search for a kidney is very difficult. He has been on the waiting list for a year and a half. and he has been told that on average the wait can be four years. A live donor is preferred due to the fact that the kidney has not been stressed. The donor process is done laprascopically with generally a one day stay in the hospital; Type A and O are compatible blood types. The transplant will be done at MT Sinai Hospital in N Y with all expenses covered If you or anyone you know is interested in being tested as a potential donor, please contact Judy Rosenstein at Judyrose76@aol.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JCC Lecture on Alfred Eisenstaedt in Highland Park On Wednesday, August 28th at 1 PM Jim DelGiudice will speak about the photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt at River Ridge, 30 South Adelaide Ave in Highland Park. Born in West Prussia, Alfred Eisenstaedt emigrated to the United States in 1935 and worked as a photographer for Life Magazine. His photograph of a kiss in Times Square on VJ Day remains the iconic image of WWII. All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served. Cost is $8 for JCC members; $10 for non-members. BRIDGE AT THE JCC BRIDGE FOR THE MODERN PLAYER, taught by Gil Hollander, is designed to help those who already play to improve and have more fun. Basic techniques in bidding and play will be reviewed and practiced. Modern approaches and conventions to be taught include Two Over One, New Minor Forcing, Puppet Stayman, Roman Key Card, Blackwood, Bergen Raises and Splinter Bids. Class time will be divided between instruction and supervised play.
