  4. 4. We wanted to work with BOH students to understand how they worked with their material so we could gain insights into the best way to structure the portfolio. Our Initial Approach
  5. 5. Our First Misconception We had assumed that students would see the relevance of learning how to develop a portfolio. Student feedback suggested they saw no real point in spending time on this and that it created pressure on an already busy workload.
  6. 6. We did find interest was high with staff involved in developing their professional portfolios Staff Interest

  11. 11. Where to in 2008 • Investment by external funding groups – rSmart & IBM • Ongoing discussions with DCNZ about a national system • Continued testing and development of the prototype • Work with staff & students to develop personal portfolios
  12. 12. 2008 Invitation to Students We are looking for a small number of students keen to develop their personal portfolio. We would work with you and develop the portfolio around your requirements. The time involved will depend on how much you wish to develop your ePortfolio.   13. 13. 2008 Staff We are keen to continue working with staff on refining their portfolios in 2008. We are happy to run a number of group sessions and work with you one-to-one to help you complete your first cycle.
