Listen to the following dialogue. Circle any words you hear from the previous section
Martin: John, Mr. Davies has asked me to plan the agenda for our meeting with Stanton Industries.
Have you got any ideas that could help me?
John: Sure, the first thing an agenda has to cover is when and where the meeting is
going to be held.
Martin: OK, it’s on Thursday at 3 p.m.
John: Great. Next, you need to know who will be the chairperson, and who the other
participants will be.
Martin: That makes sense. What do I need to say
about the topic of the meeting?
John: In the agenda, you need to list all
of the topics for discussion. You
need to include some information
about each topic as well.
Martin: Is that all?
John: No, you also need to write down
who will be taking the minutes of the meeting. Do you have any special guests?
Martin: Yes, Jeff Stanton is coming to the meeting.
John: Then you should also make sure you leave time to welcome him. Mr. Davies can do that as
part of his opening remarks. Make sure you mention that he’ll be giving the opening remarks
on the agenda.

If that is all clear, I’ll hand over to Debbie.
