Our Documentary A Day In The Life Of: An Elephant This is an observational documentary exploring the life of this extraordinary mammal. This is also a participatory documentary so it involves a first hand view of the animal up close.
We will be visiting many wild life reserves and observing the worlds largest land mammals: ELEPHANTS. We have created this documentary to make viewers aware of the specie endangerment.
We will include voiceovers explaining the daily routine that the park keepers follow in order to keep the animals needs catered for.
As it is a participatory documentary we are planning to involve ourselves by feeding the elephants and helping the keepers look after the elephants.
We will include facts to show the seriousness of the endangerment.
Long takes will be used as we watch the animal and events unfold.
We will use archive footage to emphasize their endangered existence.
Titles will also be added in about 1 minute into the start of the programme and credits will be shown at the end.
We will be using light equipment like hand held cameras, which will help us to follow the elephants.
We will use tracking and panning shots to follow the animals.
We will have moving/emotive music when explaining the endangerment of these creatures, creating an emotional atmosphere for the audience.
The use of voiceover from the park keepers and from the narrator will help explain the situation the animals lives are in and it will also help to inform the audience about the fascinating journey the animals lead.
