  • 3.  Adjectives are modifiers.  They modify nouns.  They tell us more about nouns or pronouns.  Adjectives can be located by asking questions to the nouns like:-  What kind ??  Which one ??  How many ??  How much ??
  • 4. I saw a pretty girl.
  • 5. Robert had four books on his shelf.
  • 6. Cristina bounced the round basketball.
  • 7. Jessamin e looked into the clear ball.
  • 8. The colorful butterfly was on the flower.

  • 10. Qualitative adjectives It describes the quality of the noun. Like its colour, shape, texture, behaviour etc….
  • 11. Hilary wore a striped shirt.
  • 12. John is a handsome boy.
  • 13.  Quantitative adjective describes the quantity of the noun. It describes about uncountable nouns like rice, milk, water etc..  When we ask how much to the noun whatever answer we get is a quantitative adjective.
  • 14. Sky has many stars.
  • 15. It describes countable nouns like five fingers, seven days, three girls etc…
  • 16. (Far) Those pillows are soft.
  • 17.  I have five pencils.  Ronit is a clever boy.  I have a beautiful sister.  Shashi drank lots of water.  Niki solved ten sums in her book.
