  • Having knowledge about the success of our services, events, and data will help us assess and plan for the 2014-2015 year. What will also help plan a successful year will be knowing about key university updates.
  • The framework I am using to determine our transfer objectives is by assessing our Transfer Student Population. Objectives are aligned with our mission to foster learning and success. Every activity is measured and assessed through SLOs. Student needs and SLOs determine the outcome to have transfer events, workshops, fieldtrips, and services.
  • The Transfer Velocity Table shows the 2007-2008 student cohort that was tracked over a 6 year period in order to follow academic & transfer progression. When we disaggregate the students by ethnicity we can see which students progressed and those who have the lowest rates * AA males & females, Latino males, White males Asian Males)
  • Ongoing decline in students enrolling in English and Math from 2009 to 2011. There is higher persistence from fall to spring than fall to fall. This supports the need for a second year experience program.
  • The completion rate, one of which is transfer is significantly higher within 6 years as opposed to 3 years. This supports the previous data that shows low completion for English and Math. Math & English are gatekeepers to increase persistence and transfer.
