      • Guide clients in the development of self-marketing skills.

      • The Job Seekers Calling Card (Career Development Manual, page 72)
      • Sample Job Seekers Calling Cards ( PDF file )
      • Please find your Pride Story material (skills and clusters) from CCT1. You will need this material to create your marketing statements for this lesson

    4. The Process for Identifying and Marketing Your Skills
      • Tell your stories (7–10)
      • Develop a skills list
      • Group the skills together & name the groups
      • Re-tell the stories to illustrate specific skills cluster (SAR/PAR format)
      • Create 90 second commercial from skills stories (aka ‘elevator speech)
      • Create job seekers calling cards & resume
      • Prepare for interviews

    6. ALL 6: Self-Marketing
        • You are to write:
        • Marketing statement from your skills cluster (i.e. a sentence of phrase that describes a core skill that you have);
        • Job Seekers Calling Card; and
        • 90 second self-marketing statement (i.e. a personal introduction that you would use to introduce yourself to others, sometimes referred to as an ‘elevator speech’).
        • Please post these three pieces of material to the Discussion Board as your learning log.
