Web social et web sémantique : tagging et ontologies. L’essor du tagging et des folksonomies pour l’organisation des ressources partagées au sein du Web social et collaboratif constitue une opportunité pour l’acquisition des connaissances par ceux-là même qui les manipulent. Cependant l’absence de liens sémantiques entre les tags, ou la variabilité d’écriture de certains tags appauvrissent les potentiels de navigation et de recherche d’information. Pour remédier à ces limitations, nous proposons d’exploiter l’interaction entre les utilisateurs et les systèmes à base de folksonomies pour valider ou invalider des traitements automatiques effectués sur les tags. Ces opérations se basent sur notre modèle pour l’assistance à la structuration des folksonomies qui autorise des vues conflictuelles portant sur les liens entre les tags, tout en permettant aux concepteurs des systèmes d’exploiter la diversité de ces descriptions sémantiques afin d’offrir des fonctionnalités de navigation enrichies.]]>

São duas as contribuições deste trabalho: (1) analisar a empregabilidade de algoritmos de recomendação para redes sociais. Tais algoritmos de recomendação podem receber como entrada não somente o grafo social destas redes como também características do conteúdo de itens a serem recomendados para usuários finais. Para tal, serão levantadas as principais características das redes sociais e as técnicas de recomendação automática que podem ser empregadas para essas tarefas. Especial atenção será dada à rede social online \emph{Flickr} para compartilhamento de fotos e ao emprego de métricas de semelhança visual entre imagens. A segunda contribuição (2) é a construção de uma \emph{framework} para a modelagem e análise de redes sociais, bem como o estudo do desempenho de algoritmos de recomendação nestes contextos. Estarão nela contidas as melhores práticas adotadas ao longo do estudo, como técnicas para coleta, análise e visualização de dados, classificação de redes sociais e tarefas de recomendação dentro destas, implementação dos algoritmos e arquiteturas de recomendadores. A relevância de tais contribuições advém da enorme quantidade de informação disponível online e a crescente complexidade dos inter-relacionamentos entre esses dados. Sistemas recomendadores nesse contexto podem oferecer grande ajuda para usuários finais. Users interact to resolve conflicts and jointly make sense of topic areas from "Obama vs. Clinton" to "Islam." PARC’s Augmented Social Cognition researchers -- who come from cognitive psychology, computer science, HCI, sociology, and other disciplines -- focus on understanding how to "enhance a group of people’s ability to remember, think, and reason". Through Web 2.0 systems like social tagging, blogs, Wikis, and more, we can finally study, in detail, these types of enhancements on a very large scale. In this talk, we summarize recent PARC work and early findings on: (1) how conflict and coordination have played out in Wikipedia, and how social transparency might affect reader trust; (2) how decreasing interaction costs might change participation in social tagging systems; and (3) how computation can help organize user-generated content and metadata.]]>
