      • E ntrepreneurs are walking billboards for their companies
      • P erson-to-person marketing more important than ever
      • The person you are meeting for the first time is not interested in your “good excuse” for running late.
      • Plan to arrive a few minutes early
      • Consider possible obstacles
      • Appropriate clothing
      • Clean and tidy clothes
      • A good haircut or shave
      • Neat and tidy make up
      • B e on your best behavior
      • Be aware of your nervous habits
      • Stand tall
      • G reet with a firm handshake
      • Make eye contact
      • Smile
      • A bit of small talk is appropriate
      • Be positive
      • Show appreciation
      • Avoid speaking too quietly or in monotone
      • Control your talking speed
      • We have just a few seconds to make a good first impression and it’s almost impossible ever to change it.

      • 3) Watch your body language
      • 4) Use your conversational skills
