  4. 4. <ul><li>For example Atlanta audit firm Porter Keadle Moore </li></ul><ul><li>Now it is atlanta’s topp accounting firm with a * 98 percent positive rating and *awards for being one of america’s psychologically healthiest workplaces. </li></ul><ul><li>How ? By following fairly conventional strategies to make it to the top.. </li></ul>
  5. 5. How change begin? <ul><li>With asking what you want your company to do. </li></ul><ul><li>And what your company could be. </li></ul><ul><li>For example this PKM - continuous feedback culture - getting and giving new ideas on a daily basis. </li></ul>

Make a plan and stick with it. <ul><li>What are their goals </li></ul><ul><li>Advocate Rick Maurer advises : decide what excellence looks like for your company </li></ul><ul><li>What does an excellent manufacturing process look like? What is good customer service? </li></ul><ul><li>Consult benchmarks </li></ul><ul><li>See if changes are moving you in the right direction </li></ul>

Motivation <ul><li>Engagement - creating a fun atmosphere and to promote happy work and life balance. </li></ul><ul><li>Money is the key to motivating employees ? </li></ul><ul><li>Works in the short term and other things keep employees happy and productive over the long run. </li></ul><ul><li>Bob Nelson suggests next things : </li></ul><ul><li>Make days off, long lunches </li></ul><ul><li>Office-wide rewards build teams and shake employees out of their </li></ul><ul><li>Reward productivity, not long hours. </li></ul><ul><li>Promote good health. </li></ul><ul><li>Promote a strong work/life balance. </li></ul>

Productivity <ul><li>Developing engaged, motivated workforce is the surest route to productivity </li></ul><ul><li>It takes time. </li></ul><ul><li>Productivity is gained by explaining every change, </li></ul><ul><li>getting people on board and giving them freedom when it comes to the web, </li></ul><ul><li>WHY? </li></ul><ul><li>BECAUSE : Employees who check personal </li></ul><ul><li>e-mail, watch YouTube or peek at Facebook are almost 10 percent more productive than those whose access is blocked </li></ul><ul><li>* small breaks help them to regain their concentration !!!! </li></ul>

It keeps people connected. </li></ul><ul><li>Syncable calendars, Instant messages, meeting software and paper management. </li></ul>
  11. 11. Environment <ul><li>Creating a culture in which people can do their best work sometimes means retooling the physical office. </li></ul><ul><li>Companies should provide quiet spaces, </li></ul><ul><li>Have informal gathering spots, </li></ul><ul><li>Keep employees comfortable </li></ul>
  12. 12. Conclusion <ul><li>Culture of excellence needs a lot of effort. Starting with making a plan.. And ending with environment. </li></ul><ul><li>If companies want to create a culture of excellence , it pays to take a look at the companies that do it best.. And then do it after! </li></ul>
