  5. 5. Analysis<br />High Level<br />Definition: detailed examination of the structure of something (What is it made of? What are the parts?)<br />Example: What are three differences and similarities between an apple and an orange?<br />
  6. 6. Application<br />High Level<br />Definition: putting something to use (How does it help you?)<br />Example: Can you think of a way to peel an orange without getting your hands sticky?<br />
  7. 7. Synthesis<br />High Level<br />Definition: the combination of ideas that form a theory or system (What might be the final outcome? Using a process in a creative way.)<br />Example: If you were going to create a new piece of fruit that was a combination of the apple and the orange, what would the fruit look like and taste like?<br />
