  • 8. Description of the 7-S framework of McKinsey
    • The Seven S model was born at a meeting of the four authors in 1978.  It went on to appear in "In Search of Excellence" by Peters and Waterman, and was taken up as a basic tool by the global management consultancy McKinsey
    • The 7-S framework of McKinsey is a Value Based Management (VBM) model that describes how one can holistically and effectively organize a company. Together these factors determine the way in which a corporation operates.
  • 9. 7-S Framework of McKinsey Model. Managers need to take account of all seven of the factors to be sure of successful implementation of a strategy - large or small. They're all interdependent, so if the manager fail to pay proper attention to one of them, it can bring the others crashing down.
